Saw the movie "Red Corner" starring Richard Gere, Ling Bai, Bradley Whitford, Peter Donat etc on TV (1997 movie directed by Jon Avnet) day before yesterday. In the movie, Richard Gere plays Jack Moore, an American Attorney who goes to Beijing about founding the first satellite TV joint venture. He is suddenly arrested, accused after murder when a Chinese woman is found stabbed in the neck in his room. He is accused of being overdrunk. But he does remember the happenings of the previous night. The law immediately points the finger at him, and he has to stand trial in China, facing their corrupt and unfair system.
A young Chinese lawyer who is assigned to Gere's case who at first does not believe his innocence then starts believing him, and they both fight for his rights in an unfair system. Atlast the case is solved and Jack Moore (Richard Gere) is released and he returns to America. The movie is thrilling from the start, and keeps the audience thinking what would happen next and why is Richard being attacked every now and then. I enjoyed watching the movie. Richard Gere has done a good job in this movie. The movie is emotionally engaging and also very well directed.
Yesterday, I saw the movie, Jeete hain Shaan se (Mithun Chakravarthy, Sanjay Dutt and Govinda). Did not like the movie. Usual stuff, taking revenge on the enemy by three friends (Iqbal, Govinda and Johny) for the murdering their parents.

Was watching Akshay Kumar's International Khiladi. Seems this is Khiladi Akshay Kumar's month. Every Monday they are featuring an Akshay Kumar's movie. And this week it was International Khiladi starring Akshay Kumar, Twinkle. I was fully pre-occupied with my other work that I could only watch few scenes of the movie Akshay kumar and Twinkle in the ship scene where Twinkle is tied to a rod in the ship with handcuffs and Akshay trying to rescue her. It reminded me of Titanic's Hero trapped in titanic and heroine trying to rescue her. Also you know how many films Akshay has acted with the name Khiladi in it to mention a few, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, Sabse bada khiladi, International Khiladi, Khiladi 420 (You know all these movies were telecasted in B4U.)
Saw in some site that Akshay is married to Twinkle(daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia)
We also got to see Movies like Air Force No.1 (Harrison Ford) and today is Main Chup Rahoongi(Meena Kumari).

Director Govind Menon, who gave Mallika Sherawat her first hit, Khwahish , is back with her for the third time in the light-hearted comedy, Bachke Rehna Re Baba, after Kis Kiski Kismat with Dharmendra.
Bachke Rehna also stars Rekha.
The women, who play mausi and bhanji , act as con women in the film.
Mausi (Rekha) charms rich guys into marrying her, and bhanji (Mallika) seduces them into infidelity. Mausi then demands divorce and rips them off.

Got to see another movie Rudhraksh yesterday. I really don't know why they are taking movies like these now a days. It was some Matrix kind of movie. It had Sanjay and Sunil playing the good and evil. At last the good succeeds. It also starred Bipasha Basu who is playing the role of a Scientist. Oh! God when will be relieved of seeing such foolish movies. Reminded me of Matrix......

I will posting the reviews of the movies I see and rank them according to my taste.
Recently I get to see a lot of movies after coming to UK. Earlier when I was in India, the movies I saw were restricted to movies they telecasted in Television or sometimes we used to get CDs from the Lending library and watch the movies on our computer. But now as soon as a film is released we go to the theatre to seem them. The latest movie I saw with my husband is Constantine (starring Keanu Reaves) in the theatre. Strange, I did not like the movie. I could not relate the movie to the real world. It was full of fantasy.
The movies I had been watching recently, are not quite up to the mark.
I saw the movie Aviator. I won't say it was bad, but it looked like a long documentary rather than a film.
List of movies I saw recently
